Campus supports Shavathon 2019

March 07, 2019 | Campus

For the 10th year running, the Campus administration team, supported by our various school based staff and interns, once again co-ordinated the annual Shavathon in support of CANSA on Thursday 21 February 2019.  As always, many staff and students came out to show their support for this worthy cause.  The final figures have not yet been concluded but, based on 2018 figures, we expect to raise over R 127 000-00 from learners.  Added to that figure the staff raised an amount of R6 000-00 so a record breaking figure is expected to be paid over to CANSA by the end of March 2019.  Saints is especially proud that this figure is in excess of what any one of the shopping centres manage to raise. This event is always well supported and thoroughly enjoyed by all the staff that give up their time to spray and shave hair on the day.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our students, their families and our staff for their unwavering support for this annual fundraiser.  A special thanks goes out to the staff who volunteered their time to assist with spraying and shaving.  We are always grateful for their help as spraying or shaving so many heads in a short space of time is no mean feat.
