2017 Prep Marimba Festival

St Stithians College will be hosting the 12th annual Preparatory Marimba Festival on Wednesday 20 September 2017 in Mears Hall from 18h00. This year the festival will host Auckland Park Preparatory, Brescia House School, Holy Rosary School, St John's Preparatory School, Redhill School, The Ridge School, St Stithians Girls' Preparatory, St Stithians Boys' Preparatory, and Thembelisha Preparatory all the way from Swaziland,.

All the participating bands will have an opportunity to showcase their marimba repertoire providing a wide variety of music from different genres. The highlight of the festival is always the performances of the combined items: where the over 200 participants take to the stage to perform the prepared combined items. This provides a sense of unity and harmony which is what the festival is all about.
