Head Girl's message

I’m very excited to welcome you to the Girls’ College community. The Girls’ College theme of Belong, Learn, Lead, Serve is the foundation of our vision for 2023 – the Umbrella Vision. The Umbrella Vision is focused around unity, healing and growth. Each of these pillars contribute to the culture we are cultivating within our school. Our umbrella symbolises protection and nurturing care and is representative of our core values as a College.

Rufaro Kawelenga and Liyakhanya Ndamane, our incredible Deputy Head Girls, and I have worked together with the Student Leadership Committee (SLC) and all of our current students in order to agree on which values and themes are most important to us and why. In this way, the Umbrella Vision does not belong to the Head Girls or to the Student Leadership Committee, rather it belongs to the Girls’ College as a collective, One and All.
