The recent interhouse athletics and music competitions at Girls' Prep were a resounding success. Both events showcased the exceptional athleticism, teamwork, and musical talent of our students.

Last weekend, the Grade 6A and 7A hockey teams embarked on a journey to St. Anne’s for their annual U13 hockey festival.

Last Wednesday, the Grade 5s at Girls' Prep enjoyed a special morning celebrating their journey and future aspirations at the inaugural "Counting Back and Dreaming Forward" event.

St Stithians College once again hosted the spectacular annual Preparatory Schools’ Marimba Festival, an event that enchanted audiences with the vibrant and rhythmic sounds of marimba music.

In keeping with a valued tradition at Girls' Prep, each grade participates in an annual Dads and Daughters/Special Person event. This fosters a strong sense of community, connection, and the true spirit of St Stithians within each grade.

For every Grade 4 student, Thursday, 30 May was a day for celebrating friendship. This year, the Grade 4s immersed themselves in an applied drama theatre practice led by the incredible company, “Drama for Life”, which took our girls on a friendship adventure.

This past weekend, our school community was delighted to be part of the successful Grade 3 Dads & Daughter’s event. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement and laughter as students and their special companions participated in a series of engaging activities, all designed to promote teamwork, friendly competition and most importantly, fun.

There was a buzz of excitement in the air as families gathered outside the classrooms for the Grade 5 Book Launch.Our students arrived in stunning traditional and cultural outfits, while others proudly wore the kit of their favourite hobby or sport.

During the holidays, some of our intrepid Grade 7 students participated in the Round Square conference, held at Woodridge College in Gqberha. This years’ conference theme was Sizonqoba, meaning: “Together we Triumph”.

In a whirlwind of colours and laughter, the Girls’ Prep Grade 3s took the stage by storm on Tuesday, 9 April and Wednesday, 10 April, delivering an entertaining performance of the enchanting musical, "The Not-So-Creepy Crawlies".

The Girls' Prep Music Department proudly presented its first formal concert of 2024; the Summer Soirée. This event served as a wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase the dedication and hard work they invested throughout the summer months.
