A Thrilling Day of Talent and Spirit
The recent interhouse athletics competition was a spectacular display of athleticism, teamwork and school spirit. Held under clear blue skies, the event witnessed fierce competition among the four houses – Stratton, Trewen, Kenwyn and Cambourne.
From the outset, the atmosphere was electric, with cheering supporters filling the stands and the field echoing with chants and songs. The athletes displayed exceptional determination and skill, pushing their limits in every race.
The camaraderie among the students was heartwarming, as they cheered each other on and celebrated their successes. We were blessed with great commitment from our spectators which created a supportive and competitive environment which certainly fuelled the athletes' performance. While victory was important, the true highlight was the collective experience of coming together as a school community. The interhouse athletics competition was a testament to the values of perseverance, teamwork and school spirit.
Stratton not only clinched the interhouse athletics trophy but also won the coveted Spirit Award, demonstrating their exceptional sportsmanship and enthusiasm.
A Musical Extravaganza
Our annual interhouse music competition was another recent highlight, providing a platform for students from Grades 3 to 7 to show off their musical talents and develop essential life skills.
The competition featured two parts: individual solo performances and a group mass item choreographed by the Grade 7 house leaders. The students' creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm shone through in their performances, making it a truly unforgettable experience.
Adjudicators from other schools were invited to score the performances, ensuring a fair and objective evaluation. The competition not only celebrated musical talent but also fostered valuable skills like leadership, time management, and adaptability.
Congratulations to Kenwyn for winning the interhouse music competition! An outstanding performance demonstrated the exceptional musical talent and dedication within their house.
