Girls’ Preparatory News

We were extremely blessed at the Girls’ Preparatory, just before half term, when Thabo Maluleke, a well-known TV personality from SABC 1’s YOTV, addressed our girls as a guest speaker.

Going to the beach, kayaking, surfing, boogie boarding, archery, waterslides, craft activities and paintball all sound like the stuff of which perfect holidays are made.

Girls' Prep were blessed to be addressed by Captain Annabel Vundla and First Senior Officer Refilwe Moreetsi, who are the first women of colour in the history of South African Airways.

St Stithians Girls' Prep pride themselves with their theme association for the year. In 2022, our girls resonated with the 'Hear us Roar' theme, and this year our girls were met with 'This Girl is on Fire' for 2023.

The Girls' Prep produced the most 'steller' show for their Grade 3 - 5 annual production. Titled '#WEROAR', which follows the theme of the Girls' Prep this year (Hear us Roar), our girls dazzled the audience in their colourful costumes and bright make-up.

The water sustainabilty at St Stithians is an intitative that has been put in place in order to use water effectively as well as ensure our campus is self-sustaining.

We are so proud of not one but THREE of our Saints who have been selected for the first ever SA Women’s Hockey5s squad: Reabetswe Phume (Grade 10 student) Sylvia van Jaarsveldt (GC teacher) Mmatshepo Modipane (GP teacher)

St Stithians Girls’ Prep is always abuzz with excitement in our EdTech space. Our Girls are always looking forward to the next great “Tech” adventure, and we always have one ready and waiting.

We take pleasure in sharing the story of our recently completed Girls' Prep Sensory Garden.

Sometimes the most valuable life lessons are learned outside the traditional classroom setting. At the GP Outdoor Education Station, we pride ourselves on doing girls’ education...inside out!
