GP Market Day - A Resounding Success!
On Friday, 11 October, our Grade 7 students truly shone during the highly anticipated Market Day, held at Girls’ Prep. This vibrant event, an integral part of their Economic Management Science (EMS) curriculum, offered students an exciting, hands-on opportunity to put their entrepreneurial skills into action.
Thanks to the incredible support from our Saints community, the day celebrated creativity, teamwork, and business savvy. Our students embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, working individually, in pairs, or in small groups of three, bringing their innovative ideas to life. Each business was tasked with transforming or modifying a product, and the results were impressive. Beyond the transformed products, students also excelled by exploring a variety of profitable strategies, including:
- Reselling items such as ice creams and bouncing balls, which were huge hits with their fellow students and visitors alike.
- Organising engaging games where participants eagerly competed for prizes, adding a fun and interactive atmosphere to the day.
The success of Market Day was evident in the buzz of excitement, the smiles on faces, and the pride in every student’s accomplishment. The event not only exceeded expectations but also provided our girls with a memorable and enriching experience, reinforcing essential entrepreneurial concepts. We couldn’t be prouder of their efforts, and we look forward to seeing how these budding business minds continue to grow.
