The Girls’ College Round Square Leadership Committee proudly hosted a regional Interschools Connect on Friday 25 March. Five local schools were in attendance: Roedean School, St Andrew’s School for Girls, Dainfern College, plus our own Girls’ and Boys’ Colleges. Excited chatter filled the gym as students who had attended the Round Square International Conference in 2021 reconnected and introduced other’s visiting Matric leaders, while munching delicious prego rolls.

As the evening progressed, discussions became more formal. The Heads of the Round Square Committee, Jordan Brown and Tashmika Moodley, introduced the topic for the night: identity. The focus was specifically on identity within each respective school. This was a fantastic opportunity for all of the delegates to develop their appreciation for diversity and expand their perspectives on the different cultures that co-existing in our environments, as well as to share how the Discovery Framework is lived out on each campus. All the delegates thoroughly enjoyed contributing towards these thought-provoking discussions.

This was an event where new connections were forged, old friendships strengthened, and great fun was had by all. The accompanying staff at the Round Square schools were thanked for their assistance with facilitating this worthwhile connect and admitted that, they too, had had a wonderful evening.
