Earning her place as one of 16 student teachers going to the USA on a one-month teaching exchange, Avela is flying the education flag for South Africa’s future.

The Raising Boys and Girls Conference (#RBG2018) will be taking place at St Stithians on the 10th and 11th May 2018. As part of this event, international speaker Sue Langley, will be giving her Positive Parenting Talk.

Saints is one of the few schools that has a Human Resources department. Much of what we do happens behind the scenes: this is our opportunity to share some of the projects that the HR team have driven during Term 1 of 2018.

Towards the end of March we hosted the first official leg of the Prep schools’ Tour de Maths. It was a success and the participating schools had a great time.

Each year we look forward to our annual Sports Festival with great excitement. This year, its 35th year, is no different. #SaintsFest2018 begins on 28 March 2018 with the College festival and ends on 7 April with the end of the Prep festival.

Ms Ade Avela Nanti, a final year Thandulwazi Intern-Teacher has been selected for an international student-teacher exchange in California. Avela will be required to conduct action-based research on a topic of her choice and interest and she will present these findings in the USA and here in South Africa.

Here is a wonderful opportunity for Thandulwazi graduates to train for a Financial Accounting qualification at the Growth Institute through a funded learnership.

At our staff Chapel service at the beginning of the term we acknowledged 25 of our staff who had reached long service milestones. Combined they have 370 years of service to the College.

We celebrate and give thanks for the outstanding achievements of our 2017 Matric students in the Boys’ College and the Girls’ College.

Our chair of council and the chair of our Old Stithian Association competed in the ultimate fitness smackdown on 1 December 2017.

s the academic year at St Stithians College draws to a close, may we appeal to learners and parents to donate to Thandulwazi items of stationery that are no longer required.

The chair of the OSA has challenged the chair of our Council to a fitness battle. After months of training the "winner" will be decided at an event on 1 December 2017.
