Thandulwazi Stationery Drive 2017

December 02, 2017 | Campus, Thandulwazi | Author: Bev Johnson

This year, over 960 pre-primary and primary school teachers, mainly from under-resourced schools across Gauteng, attended the Thandulwazi Teacher Development Programme hosted here at Saints. In addition, 426 Limpopo-based teachers, working in rural schools in the Sekhukhune District, attended Thandulwazi workshops at a partner school. Our Thandulwazi teachers strive to upskill themselves as educators.

The majority of Thandulwazi’s beneficiaries work in indigent schools where resources are scarce and stationery is a luxury. As the academic year at St Stithians College draws to a close, may we appeal to learners and parents to donate to Thandulwazi items of stationery that are no longer required. The school PTAs have taken this on as a project in support of the Thandulwazi Maths & Science Academy and will be collecting the stationery.

Stationery will be collected during the last week of term (1 – 6 December 2017) and distributed to selected Thandulwazi partner schools registering for the 2018 programmes in February next year. We thank you for supporting this initiative and for your commitment to making a world of difference in the lives of learners less fortunate than our own children.

You can donate at the Prep carparks from 06h45 to 07h20 in the mornings from1 – 6 December 2017, and you can donate at the College receptions all day.
