Head's message
St Stithians Boys’ Preparatory School is part of St Stithians College which prides itself on being a proudly South African school that provides excellent education and makes a world of difference in so many lives.
Our educational philosophy is based on Five pillars: academics, sport, culture, service and spirituality.
As a preparatory school, we aim to provide our boys with access to various activities and programmes, whether in their learning spaces, or sport fields, or during cultural, church, leadership and community engagements; our primary objective is to develop well-rounded boys who will make meaningful contributions in society.
The Boys’ Preparatory School is a successful, vibrant school; a school where boys come first. We have a highly motivated, dedicated, experienced, well-resourced, and committed team of staff and parents who care about and nurture the needs of every boy.
We want our boys to be happy at school and for learning to be fun and challenging. We set high expectations and want to give our boys every opportunity to become confident and independent students. We work closely with parents to ensure this happens and we recognise the importance of good communication between home and school.
We are a caring and values-driven school and here are the values that are taught in our school:
School Values: ‘The Five Stones’ – the values of Love, Respect, Honour, Responsibility and Courage
Fruits of the Spirit: Love, Joy, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Gentleness, Self-control, Peace and Faithfulness.
Round-Square Ideals: Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership and Service.
Lastly, our purpose as Boys’ Preparatory and the entire College is to educate individuals to be lifelong learners who participate, lead, serve and make a world of difference in people's lives.
I do hope you will visit us to meet our boys and staff and to experience life at our unique school.
