ACADEMICS: using technology in the classroom

In preparation for their Dramatic Arts ESIT theory examination on the set-work Green Man Flashing, our Matric Drama students had a Skype conversation with the playwright, Mike van Graan who is based in Cape Town. We talked extensively about the process of play writing, the characters, different perspectives of truth and what it means to “born free” in South Africa when social justice is illusive and violence against women and children, crime, corruption, poverty and unemployment still prevail despite the promise of “the Rainbow Nation”.
