From Awareness to Action: A Mandela Day of Hope, Dignity and Community
There are conversations that are difficult to have, yet they are the very conversations our country cannot afford to avoid. This year's Mandela Day initiative at St Stithians Girls' College began with one of those conversations. We were reminded that creating a better world does not always begin with extraordinary acts. Sometimes, it begins with listening. Sometimes, it begins with showing up. And sometimes, it simply begins with reminding another person that they are not alone.

The Girls’ College Matric Dance was held on Saturday 16 May 2026. The theme was A Night in Vegas, and every student arrived looking radiant and ready to celebrate an evening filled with glamour, laughter and lasting memories.

What makes “Sister Act” particularly meaningful as a girls’ school production is that its message extends beyond the stage itself. At its heart, the musical is a story about sisterhood, belonging, and women uplifting one another — values that resonate deeply within our school environment. Those themes were not only performed under stage lights; they were lived backstage every day throughout the rehearsal process.

Champions in the Making: Saints Rowers Earn National Colours
We are absolutely thrilled to share that Ntsako Shipalana (Grade 12) and Kenya Simpson (Grade 12) have been selected to represent South Africa at the World Rowing Under 19 Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, this August.
