A Sweet Start to a Season of Reflection

Shrove Tuesday was filled with smiles and sweet treats as the children enjoyed delicious pancakes together. There was much excitement as they shared this special tradition, understanding that it marks the beginning of the Lenten season - a time of reflection and preparation.

The following day, we gathered for a meaningful Ash Wednesday Chapel service. The children participated reverently as they learned about the significance of the day. Those who wished to receive ashes were invited forward, while children who preferred not to receive ashes crossed their arms and received a special prayer from the chaplains. It was a calm and thoughtful time as we began this important journey together.
