Some feedback from Worlds Championships...

The South African girls placed 3rd in the junior woman's 8 B final. It was a very exciting race where they finished 1.4 seconds off the winning boat. The girls made history in that it was the first time South Africa has sent a woman's 8 to compete at an international regatta. The World Rowing write up after their first heat summed it up:

"But what a great race from South Africa. Perhaps the first time entered in this boat class, they held the pace of the best eights in the world."

This was the biggest World Championships ever, combining the juniors, U23's and seniors & was truly a phenomenal experience for our rowers.

The St Stithians' boys (Max Silber, Jordan Pepermans and cox Mitch Booyse) won their B final.

Our alumni Holly Norton raced for Great Britain in the Senior Worlds and won Gold - a 1st for St Stithians Rowing
