Round Square Rainbow Week 2020

In celebration of Round Square (RS) Rainbow Week following founder Kurt Hahn's birthday (5 June), the Girls' College held a "civvies day" of a different type this year! Students were encouraged to dress up in Round Square colours (black, white, red and gold) and submit a selfie for inclusion in a photo mosaic of the RS logo.

Round Square is an internationally diverse network of 200 like-minded schools in 50 countries on six continents that connect and collaborate to offer world-class programmes and experiences, developing global competence, character and confidence in our students. The Girls’ College has been a member of this network since 1998, and all staff and students are automatically members upon joining the College. Round Square schools are characterised by a shared belief in an approach to education built around six themes, the IDEALS – International Understanding, Democracy, Environmental Stewardship, Adventure, Leadership and Service. Ultimately, we want our students to understand that whatever field of work or career they enter into, with a spirit of the Round Square IDEALS they can – and should – make a positive difference in the world as global citizens.
