Downhill Mountain Bike Racing

Matthew entered in his first South African Downhill Cup Series as well as the South African National Champs this year.

The SA National Downhill Cup Series is comprised of four competitions and Matthew competed in the Elite age group which is professional riders with the likes of Greg Minaar, who is the current World Champion. In this series he finished 22nd of the Elite men.

This past weekend (18 July) he competed in the SA National Champ Series in his own age group and came 6th in the Junior men category. And 27th overall.
