From 26 to 28 May 2016 we will host a great celebration of African artistry – the Sanaa Africa Festival

The festival will celebrate our continent through poetry, film, fine art, dance, music, theatre, and fashion and many of the festival events will happen simultaenously and in varied venues at the Girls' College and Prep.

It is a wonderfully artistic way to celebrate our continent and our people in Africa month. The festival is described as "a celebration, recognition and elevation of Africa" on the Sanaa website and a quick look at the festival programme will make this clear.

Come to Saints and be inspired by great South African films and the talents of a range of artists like poets Lebo Mashile and Afurakan, musicians Mango Groove and Liquideep, fine artists Riva-Menga Makabi and Helena Hugo, dancers from Vuyani Dance Theatre, actors Kate Liquorish and Jaques da Silva, fashion brands Fundudzi and Sun Goddess, and many more.

As each category has its own schedule of events, you have the opportunity to create your own itinerary – you can move from venue to venue and category to category attending whatever catches your interest.

There will also be a number of workshops and a lifestyle market so you will have the opportunity to engage with the material and the artists at the festival.

Book your tickets online and get to Saints from 26 – 28 May for a wonderful celebration of Africa.
