Zanne Smit in Gr 8  - Chess

Congratulations to Zanne Smit on her selection as part of the team representing the Johannesburg Metro area at the U16 South African Junior Chess Championships to be held in Cape Town in December.

Bianca Prinsloo in Gr 10 - Water Polo

Bianca was selected to be a part of the Saints All Stars U18 Girls Team at the end of the Saints Invitational Water Polo Tournament.  She was also selected as part of the St Annes Water Polo Top Ten players of the tournament .

Zanne Smit in Gr 8 and Kate Hinrichs in Gr 9 - Water Polo

Zanne was chosen as the top goalkeeper at the Collegiate Tournament and Kate was the top Defender.

Chantelle Guise-Brown - Gr 9 - Eisteddfod

Chantelle participated in the Eisteddfod with an amazing monologue and was awarded the highest award of a diploma for her efforts.

Zoe Duffield in Gr 10 - Karate

Zoe has been selected to represent South Africa in New Zealand at the Goju Ryu Karate Federation Championships.  A wonderful achievement!

Shannon Dawson in Gr 12 - Equestrian

Shannon was placed in the top 5 riders overall in the Gauteng Finals Victor Ludorum standings and has been selected as the Working Hunter for the Open Gauteng Showing Team to compete at the 2015 Junior South African National Championships (from the 10 –15 December)

Kristin Pienaar in Gr 11 - Eisteddfod Singing

Kristin Pienaar was awarded four Diplomas in the National Eisteddfod singing competition which means that she goes through to the semi finals which will be held next year.  All the best!

Rae Atteridge in Gr 8 - Gymnastics

Rae has been selected to represent Central Gauteng for gymnastics and will participating in the Nationals in December.

Shannon Hewett - Gr 8 - Irish Dancing

Shannon won this year's South African Irish Dancing Competition!

Veronica Louw in Gr 10 - National Ballet Festivals

Veronica competed in the local National Ballet Festivals held in East and North Rand and won the following awards:

Gauteng and was the Sectional Winner – Classical Solo, the Sectional Winner – Repetoire, Overall Runner up – 15 and under 19 years, Competed in 5 group dances and won all of them, was also Winner – Best Demi Character dance, Sectional runner up 14 – 16 years, Most musical performer overall, 16 and under 19 Championship runner up and also won an award for Vocational Award Dance – runner up.  Phenomenal achievements!

Michaela Louw in Gr 8 - National Ballet Festivals

Michaela competed in the local National Ballet Festivals held in East and North Rand, Gauteng and performed 11 solo dances and obtained an A+ for 9 dances and an A for the other two, she was the winner in all 7 group dances, Sectional Winner age 13 and under 15 and Best Demi Character Dance 13 and under 15.  Outstanding!

Both Michaela and Veronica have received scholarships to attend a summer workshop in August 2016 at the American Ballet Academy (ABA) (The one from "Centre Stage" the movie!)
