Literacy week: 6 –10 June 2016

The Boys’ Prep have a variety of activities to promote reading during an exciting literacy week (6 – 10 June 2016). The week began with a drive to bring books for Ivory Park which is an ongoing initiative. On Tuesday 7 June 2016, boys and staff came dressed as their favourite book character.

It was interesting to see that most of the outfits had a pirate bias, yes,” Pirates of the Curry Bean” (the Boys' Prep Major Production for this year) dictated the mood. There was also a book sale hosted by the Book People.

On Wednesday 8 June we will be hosting five other schools for a general knowledge quiz competition. We are sure this will be great fun for all the participants and it will be a great way for the boys to brush up on their general knowledge.

The finale of this stimulating week on our calendar will close with the much loved Hooked on Books show on Friday the 10th of June 2016.
