Coding Fun with Blue-Bots in Grade R

Our Grade R students had an exciting coding lesson this week using our Blue-Bots! Working in pairs, the children used Duplo blocks to design and build their own mazes, carefully thinking about the width of the paths and the turns their bots would need to make. They practised great teamwork - listening to one another, sharing ideas and combining their creativity to bring their mazes to life.

Once their designs were complete, the students used the Blue-Bot app on the iPads to navigate their robots through the mazes, troubleshooting any challenges along the way. Many even decided to add extra features to their creations after testing them! The fun continued as they tested out each other’s mazes, celebrating successful runs and problem-solving together!
