World Book Day in the Junior Prep

World Book Day, celebrated globally on 23 April, is a special occasion that honours the joy of reading, the wonder of stories, and the importance of books in our lives. Although officially marked in April, the College celebrated this literary milestone on Friday, 9 May 2025 — and what a joyful celebration it was!

The Junior Prep came alive with the spirit of storytelling as children arrived with their favourite books in hand, eager to share the stories they love. Grades 1, RRR, and RR gathered together to read and laugh over beloved tales, while Grades R and 2 paired up for more book-sharing fun and connection.

This special day was more than about reading — it was about sparking imaginations, building friendships through shared stories, and fostering a lifelong love of books. At the Junior Prep, we treasure the role that reading plays in opening hearts and minds. We look forward to many more story-filled moments as we continue to inspire young readers and celebrate the incredible worlds found between the pages.
