“Here our ship once anchored, here its course was set”

These familiar words from the school song are very relevant to our students when they leave our gates as matrics but also our new staff who we welcome to the Saints family.

On the 6th and 7th January 2022 we were excited to be able to hold an in person staff induction to welcome our new staff to the Saints community of belonging.

The first day began with a welcome by the Rector Mrs Gilardi who provided the new staff with an overview of the history of the school as well as highlighted to them the 2025 strategic themes.  Our new Superintendent Chaplain, Rev Dix Madika also took time to explain the Methodist ethos of the school.

The College Head of Advancement, Mr Alistair Stewart led the new staff on a walk around campus to introduce them to key places on campus. Inclement weather unfortunately meant that the walking tour had to be cut short but all new staff were encouraged to walk the path of Hope and Light with their family or colleagues to experience the full campus.

During the morning tea break all new staff and interns had the opportunity to meet the Heads and Deputies from across all schools and departments.  The first day ended with a number of presentations from members of the HR team and the College staff wellness partners.

Day 2 of the induction introduced the new staff to other campus departments including Advancement, Finance, Operations, Diversity and Transformation and ICT.

Each new staff member was presented with a staff notebook by the HR team to welcome them to the Saints family which included information about the College and a QR code to access the HR website.

We extend a warm welcome to all our new staff and teaching interns and wish them all a very happy and fulfilling career at the College.
