We welcome our Grade RR children

March 25, 2022 | Junior Preparatory

This year we welcomed three groups of Grade RR children into the Junior Prep. The children are so excited to be part of the Saints community. They arrive in the mornings with a smile on their face and great anticipation of what the day holds for them.  They thoroughly enjoy their new classrooms, where the structure and space has been influenced by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. The open spaces, natural materials, wood and plants, with emphasis on reflection, muted tones and light, is evident in all the classrooms.  They are filled with exciting and interesting provocations, loose parts and activities which inspire creativity and enquiry. We have budding little scientists experimenting and exploring. Our mud kitchen is a huge attraction and the daily menu of mud cakes, cappuccinos, purple soup and flower stews are served to all who pass. Children investigate light and shadows, some enjoy our small world play, and the fantasy areas are a big attraction.

We look forward to journeying alongside the children this year as they investigate their own questions about their world.
