The Amazing Race - Gr4 Dads & Daughters' Day

The dads and their daughters had an opportunity to face paint, hair spray and put bandanas on each other once they had received their information pack, puzzle piece and team challenge.

There were 6 teams divided into our rainbow nation colours. They built a big puzzle of the world map and then began their race around the world (campus).

When they followed the map according to the directions from the challenge, they arrived at 8 different countries, namely: Australia; Greenland; America; Italy; Scotland; China and South Africa. This resulted in a mammoth lap around the campus!

At each stop they were welcomed by wonderfully supportive moms who were theme-dressed for the occasion who hosted either a fun activity or a challenge to complete before receiving their ‘stamp of approval’ in their passports and listening to their next clue.

The dads enjoyed the opportunity to get to know a little more about their daughters and vice-a-versa.  The spirit and energy was fantastic.

The teams all met back at the Wayne Joubert field for a quenching drink, a chip ‘n dip and a soft serve icecream.

It was a glorious afternoon, and fun was had by all.
