Mandela Day Synergy

On Tuesday, 18th of July we fittingly celebrated Nelson Mandela Day at the Junior Prep. There is a strong link to Mandela at the JP because every week at the JP we learn about and practice the fruit of the spirits taken from Galatians 5:22-23. We believe that in Mandela’s 67 years of service, he portrayed and demonstrated the fruit of the spirits particularly, love; kindness; peace and goodness. The children started off the morning by making educational toys for ECD centres in Diepsloot through the Clothes to Good drive. We then enjoyed a Mandela Day service where we got to learn more about Mandela and all the good that he did for our country and the world. The generosity from our St. Stithians community was heart-warming with all the food that was donated to the Diepsloot Methodist church, a special thank you to One and All. It was a special moment witnessing the beneficiaries receive and thank the children for the donations. A truly special day celebrated with kindness, giving and love.
