Just Imagine

Being an accredited ‘Thinking School’, pupils no longer perform under teacher-instruction, with a pre-written script. Instead, girls are given the freedom to present their own performance pieces as written, directed and produced by themselves. Items on stage included short 1-act plays, stand-up comedy, solo song and instrument items, poetry, iMovies and numerous disciplines of dance. Girls are expected to select their own music, sound effects, backdrop pictures and costumes and to liaise with a professional Audio-Visual team to program in the best sound and lighting for their scenes. The end result was an evening of slick, well-polished pieces expertly woven into a tapestry of the finest talent. Astonishing the audience with their level of confidence and attention to detail, the girls did the school, and their parents proud and certainly left everyone wishing that school had been as much fun when they were there!
