Grade 2 Service of Celebration

November 27, 2015 | Junior Preparatory

‘Winter passes into spring.

Seasons come and go.

There’s a time for everything

For everything must change and grow.’

Poignant words sung by our Grade 2 children, to mark the end of their journey in the Junior Prep, at their final Chapel Service.

Speeches of encouragement and thanks were given by our Head, Mrs Mel Dace, on ‘Superheroes’ and Mrs Carol Thomas, the Grade 2 Director.

Each child received a certificate to mark their time at the ‘gateway’ to the College.

A highlight of the Farewell Service was a slide show of the Grade 2 children with their Grade 6 Buddies, who also attended the service.

Many tears were shed by parents and staff as the children sang the school song and were ushered down the aisle by their buddies, to ring the Chapel bell for the last time as members of the Junior Prep.

We will miss our Grade 2 Class of 2015 and wish them every success and happiness as they journey through the College.

‘There are places we’ve loved and those we’ve left.

There are days we remember well.

There are faces we know we shan’t forget.

But this day we move forward.

This day we move forward.’
