Girls' Prep Production, ELLE

May 11, 2014 | Girls’ Preparatory

Our Production of ELLE was a huge success!  May we always be reminded of the following:

“Elle, French for the pronoun, she; a word that refers to your daughter and our girls at St Stithians Girls’ Prep; a word that celebrates the value of these beautiful people; a value that was not always understood. Thanks to the brave labour of many, we now live in a society where women are free to live, laugh, learn and love to the very fullest of their potential. Intellectually, occupationally and within their personal lives, women and girls may now leave a legacy from which their families and a wider society can draw resources and strength. A father has a special relationship with his daughter as she will judge men by his standard. A mother's task is to show her daughter the complex passage of growing into a woman. Raising a daughter is an infinite gift. Elle, a sound or phoneme that evokes this production's concepts of live, love, labour, learn, laugh, leave a legacy, encapsulates all that we strive to engender within our girls, as they become authentic citizens of our nation and ambassadors of which our school can be proud.” – Mrs S May
