CANSA Shavathon

March 09, 2018 | Junior Preparatory

The CANSA Shavathon took place on Thursday 1 March. The Junior Prep children took part in the Spray-a-thon. The children were very excited about having their hair sprayed in all different colours. They couldn’t contain themselves as the volunteer sprayers came to the Junior Prep.

The spraying began in Grade R and then moved to Grade 1 and finally Grade 2.

A child in Grade 1 was overhead telling his friend that ‘this was the best day of his life!’

The words of Nelson Mandela couldn’t be more true than when he said ‘What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.’ It is through these outreach projects that we are able, in our own small way, to contribute to making a world of difference.

The money raised from the Spray-a-thon went to support the Cancer Association.
