Achievements in June/July
DANCE
Roxanne Steenkamp and Jenna White recently competed in the SA Body of Dance competition at the Linder Auditorium. They competed in the the modern dance category and won gold for their duet entitled "Everybody Hurts".
Roxanne also performed in the principle role of Queen of Hearts in the Ovation Youth Dance Company's production "Alice in Wonderland" at the Roodepoort Theatre over half term.

Jordan Wedderburn & Natasja Troskie have been selected for the SA U16A Water Polo team and Nicolle Cronje, Tatum Lomax and Abigail Sooku have been selected for the SA U16B Water Polo team to participate in the Pan Pacific Youth Festival in Auckland in July.

Phoebe Coetzee in grade 8 won a silver medal a the Gauteng provincial championships for Junior Female Olympic Recurve Bow.

Well done to Jess Assenmacher who was invited to participate and compete in the South African ladies FEDCUP Tennis Camp and Tournament which was held during half term. Twenty four of the top South African women tennis players were invited to participate in the 4 day camp. The camp was aimed at players who wish to pursue tennis professionally or at a college level in America.

Well done to the U15A and U16A teams who made it through to the D13 Netball Championships just before half term. The U15A team won gold and the U16A won silver.

Tegwen Oates in grade 9 represented Gauteng and was placed 5th in the South African Nationals for lead Rock Climbing.

POWER LIFTING
Congratulations to our Science HOD, Zoe Bibbings. She recently squatted 175kg and broke the world record that was 162.5kg in her division. She also won the trophy for Best Overall Squatter across all divisions, based on power to body weight ratio.
