For the first time in the history of the competition the Boys' College and Girls' College placed first and second place, respectively, in 2017. Congratulations!

The Thandulwazi Teacher Development Programme (Gauteng) hosted its 2017 closing ceremony recently. It is a wonderful celebration of teachers, and an opportunity to thank the Thandulwazi workshop presenters, volunteers and partners in education, and our generous funders.

We welcomed 15 new interns to the Intern-Teacher programme for 2018. The day involved presentations and discussions with current interns and members of the College staff.

We have partnered with Inside Active to grow and develop the physical conditioning strategy on campus. Meet their team consisting of a doctors, a nurse, physios, a dietician, a personal trainer, a biokineticist, and a receptionist.

On 20 September 2017 Mears Hall was filled with the sounds of marimbas and happy children performing at 12th Preparatory Marimba Festival.

St Stithians College will be hosting the 12th annual Preparatory Marimba Festival on Wednesday 20 September 2017 in Mears Hall. The Saints Girls' Prep and Boys' Prep marimba bands will perform with a number of other schools.

Tumelo Lebea attended the Thandulwazi Saturday School in 2013 and 2014. He is now studying Operations Management and achieving an average of over 81%.

Mr Lucky Maduna, an Old Stithian, competed in Craven Week in 1998. Lucky is the first student of colour from Saints to compete in the Golden Lions A side at Craven Week, and the fourth student of colour from Saints to compete in the Craven and Academy weeks.
