Visual Arts Students featured in SA Artist Magazine

The South African Artist Magazine holds a monthly competition for Visual Arts students in Grades 10 to 12 where students have the opportunity to submit their work for publication in the magazine. From entries ranging from schools all over South Africa, a selection of students is made with one student being granted the title of overall winner receiving a hamper of Dala products worth over R1000. This month (July), St Stithians Girls' College Visual Arts student Marianna Katsoulis (Grade 11) was granted this title alongside other Grade 11 Visual Arts students Kiera Gouws, Amber Beresford and Lindokuhle Maseko whose work was also selected. The students submitted a series of chalk pastel portraits which were unique to their own individual style under the guidance of their Visual Arts teacher, Bronwyn Myles. These works can be found in the magazine and on the South African Artist website for the month of July. These same students have also recently been published in the SA Art Times magazine in their "New Blood" category in May 2019.
