Visual Arts Exhibition - Morningside Shopping Centre

February 12, 2019 | Girls’ Preparatory, Girls’ College | Author: Bronwyn Myles, Deirdre Harris, Richard Sibeko

The showcase consisted of Grade 3 up to Grade 11 artworks which were curated and displayed by our Girls' College visual arts students. The opening night, held on the 12th February 2019, was well-supported by both the St Stithians community as well as the broader public and whilst enjoying the artworks on display, all guests were treated to a beautiful bouquet of musical pieces played by both our Girls’ Prep and College music students. "Night of 1000 Drawings" also set up a 'doodle station' on the evening where guests, staff, and students could donate artworks that will be auctioned off to participating community partnerships, supported by this organisation, later in March 2019. This was certainly a testament to the hard work and creative process of our students in collaboration with their visual arts educators - Deirdre Harris, Candice Smith and Bronwyn Myles - which we hope to make a spectacular annual event.

Special thanks (in no particular order) to our Heads of School, GC and GP music departments, marketing & events, operations department, GC and GP visual arts departments, Morningside Shopping Centre, staff and to our valued parents and students for your support.
