Tennis Triumphs

March 26, 2016 | Girls’ College

On Saturday 5 March St Stithians Girls' College played St Mary's in the finals of the prestigious Girls' Schools Inter High A tennis tournament.

Both schools played exceptionally well and St Mary's went through as the winners after a draw in the finals.  The rules indicate that the scores of the 1st couple determine the winner.  St Stithians Girls' College 2nd couple won on a tie break and St Mary's 1st couple won on a tie break giving them the edge and the overall trophy this year.  It was a spectacular day for tennis in general and a very closely contested match.
