TRIPLE SEVEN STUDIOS

July 29, 2015 | Boys’ Preparatory

When Grade Seven boys are given the option to don a tutu and a pair of heels and get up on stage and perform – they jump at the offer. As was the case of the Boys’ Prep’s most recent dramatic production of, “Triple Seven Studios”.

This particular production incorporated a variety of acting skills used in our Drama lessons and allowed the boys opportunity to workshop, script and perform their very own material.

The performance took place in our new, improved Drama Room. A complete make-over from a dull classroom to an intimate theatre venue.

The performance was set in a Television Studio and the invited guests had their part to play as the “live” Studio Audience.

They were entertained with a selection of shows such as children’s fairy tales, sitcom, stand-up comedy and even a radio show. The content of these different performances proved that our Boys, not only are talented performers, but keen observers of human nature and the world we live in. A subject like Drama really does give one a voice and draws our attention to the social, political and environmental issues that we are faced with on a daily basis.
