Round Square Conference in Singapore

November 04, 2015 | Girls’ College

The Round Square International Conference 2015 was themed, “Act Today, Change Tomorrow” and mainly focused on sustainability and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The conference was held at the United World College of South East Asia (UWCSEA) on both the East and Dover campuses from the 2nd to the 8th of October 2015. We were privileged enough to hear many inspirational keynote speakers such as Jim Jarvis, Kavita Ramdas and Nidhi Kapur. The delegates were split into baraza groups to discuss the SDGs and the keynote speakers. We had the opportunity to discover Singapore during our Discover Singapore Day with our baraza groups. During the Service Day, the delegates either played games with the elderly or with the children of UWC – these were both a lot of fun and very interesting to participate in. This was truly an inspiring, educational, once in a life time opportunity and we are incredibly grateful to St Stithians Girls’ College for allowing us to represent the school at the Round Square International Conference 2015.
