PrepFest 2022, Rugby Buildup

April 04, 2022 | Boys’ Preparatory | Author: Mr Gordon Ephraim

On a Saturday morning in autumn, walking around the St Stithians College Campus, it is impossible not to get caught up in the magical atmosphere of noise and some friendly banter. The Prep Fest is almost upon us, and it is one that our rugby fraternity is looking forward to for pure rugby enjoyment. We have had our early morning pre-season practices. The boys left everything on the field in the mornings and we are ready to go. The 1st team had a successful tour to the Cape a couple of weeks ago, and we look forward to playing in front of our family and friends.

Parents and supporters are giving their all and everyone can feel that a change has taken place, because rugby season and most importantly the Prep Fest is here. The pandemic has made us more aware of how precious the time is that we spend competing against other schools; the absolute joy the boys feel when they walk on and off the field is amazing. We ask One and All to come and enjoy a weekend of action and quality sportsmanship.

As some of the boys said:

“I will be attending, and I am super hyped as this is my first Fest and I will also be playing” – Kobus Nel.

Amu in Grade Seven said: “I will be coming to cheer you on, guys”

Callon May said: “I am super excited to go to the Fest and I can’t wait to be part of it”
