Prep 2 Prefects

What a delight it is reflecting on the new prefects for Boys College. While this is indeed a wonderful accolade for each boy, we at the prep need to express our pride in seeing 12 of the listed names as boys who were in our prep school – congratulations to all the boys, may you grow in service to others.

To Thomas Eichner and Jonathan Baker our respective Head and Deputy Head boys we wish you every success as you not only lead the group of prefects but also assist the College staff in the leadership of the school.

Both Tom and Jono are proud prep boys; their time spent at the prep was total. Each one actively participated in as much of what the prep could offer.

Academically, both young men applied themselves to their studies and actively engaged with material, staff and their peers. They were driven and extended their energy into sports and cultural activities – neither young man was afraid to attempt the arts and drama on offer. They lived and loved the prep school years.

Tom loved his marimba performances and his large frame together with his enthusiasm of the marimba’s made him a BIG hit with the various crowds. He would naturally stand out both in size and with his huge positive character.

Jono participated with zest and passion on the sports field, his love for sport, competition and healthy sportsmanship was always a joy to observe. From his early water polo days, it was clear that he would add something special in the polo pool. Furthermore, Jono was an outstanding ambassador for our prep as he toured to parts of France, Italy and the Netherlands on our Culture Tour.

Whilst the above refers to a few boys, it is clear when we look at the future matrics of 2016 that our Boys College is proof that good boys, become good men and that gentleman do succeed.

To all our matrics of 2016 may you fulfil your dreams and inspire excellence into all the boys in the college.
