November 11, 2018 | Girls’ College | Author: Mr Paballo Mofokeng

All IEB schools in Gauteng and St Dominic’s College in Welkom held a Grade 12 excursion called “Mphahlolle”. It was organised by Sesotho specialists and teachers at Stoney Ridge, in Magaliesberg, on the 03 August – 04 August this year.

The purpose of the excursion was to prepare students for their final examination through discussions with different language specialists, teachers and students from different schools. Mr Selibe from Boys’ College and Mr Mofokeng accompanied the students. Professor J. M Lenake was the guest speaker. Prof Lenake is a lecturer and an author of African languages texts. One of his literature texts is used in both IEB schools and DBE schools; (Senotlolo sa Dithithokiso).

The excursion was not only wonderful, but also fruitful, to both teachers and students.
