Our student Transformation Committee, under the leadership of Leyah Haripersad, Nokukhanya Lefatse (SLC 2020/21), Tshedza Matiwaza and Jyothika Ramdhani (SLC 2021/22), with the guidance of Ms Leanne Horwitz, have put together a host of material as we celebrate women this month. This Women’s Day, we celebrate both South African women of note and the strides women around the world have made in securing our rights.

Inspired by this interactive timeline by the United Nations, the committee have put together two unique timelines exploring women's activism in South Africa and Africa over the last 120 years.

As part of the College's wider campaign for the month of August, the students and staff also recorded messages about what Women's Day/Month means to them. Please watch the video posted below the timelines. For more, head over to the St Stithians College Facebook page.
