Galapagos and Ecuador

"During the August holidays, a group of us from Girl’s and Boy’s College went to Ecuador and the Galapagos. Wow! I can honestly say it was the best holiday I've ever been on. Every activity we did was far from boring. While in Quito (the capital city of Ecuador), we visited the equator line, went zip lining through a cloud forest, did lots of shopping and went to a butterfly farm which was spectacular. One of the days we were planned to visit their active volcanoes, Cotopaxi, but it erupted and we cycled through a beautiful valley instead, which was just as exciting. After visiting Quito we spent a few days in the Amazon. Our hotel was amazing. To get around the Amazon we travelled along the river in a raft. The forest was unlike any other. Our last stop was Galapagos. This was my favorite part of the journey. I wish I could've stayed there for longer. You will never visit another place quite like Galapagos, the animals were exquisite and the water was so clear. We were even lucky enough to go snorkeling with turtles, sting rays and many other sea life. We were truly privileged to have been able to go on this trip and we would like to thank our parents and our school for offering us a trip of a lifetime, which we will never forget! If you are ever offered the opportunity to go on this trip, I highly recommend it, as you will make memories and friends you will never forget!
