World Bee and Book Day Celebration

Junior Preparatory, Campus

Our school community was abuzz with excitement as we celebrated World Bee and Book Day - a delightful blend of literacy and environmental learning! Students added a touch of creativity to their uniforms by accessorising with bee-themed items or bringing along their favourite books. These thoughtful additions sparked meaningful conversations and encouraged a shared love of reading among classmates.

The day was filled with discovery and creativity. Students explored the fascinating world of bees while sharing interesting stories and facts from their books. Imagination soared as students crafted beautiful poems and stories about bees, brought to life with colourful and expressive illustrations.

In the younger grades, learning became a hands-on adventure. Through sensory play, students explored different textures and materials as they designed and built their own honeycombs, making the experience both fun and memorable.

A highlight of the day was learning about the incredible journey of honey - from hive to jar. Students were captivated by the process and thoroughly enjoyed tasting and comparing different types of honey.

Overall, the celebration provided a rich, engaging experience that nurtured creativity, curiosity and a deeper appreciation for the vital role bees play in our environment. It was truly a day of learning, sharing and sweet discoveries!
