Webb House’s 50th Birthday Celebration!

On 30 May 2017, Webb House celebrated its 50th birthday by inviting former Heads of House and House Directors to attend the nostalgic trip down memory lane.

We were joined at our celebratory breakfast by old boys Jackson Gondo (Head of House 2015) and Brett St Claire (Head of House 1992) and former House Directors MR P Wright (1998 - 2003) and Mr M Gamon (2010 - 2012). Also attending was Mr D Knowles, Mrs H Frankiskos, Dr M Reynolds, Mr A Stewart, Mrs J Phipps and Mr C Niemand.

Of particular excitement among the boys was that the first Head of House in 1967, Mr Dave Gurney, attended the birthday celebrations too. Mr Gurney delivered an inspiring speech in which he regaled stories of Saints and Webb life back in 1967. It was inspiring to see how much he still loves Webb House and still feels the spirit of the House. He was most pleased with the growth, change and success of the House over the years. The event was opened beautifully with a welcome speech by our current Head of House, Stefan Griesel, and prayer by former House Director, Mr M Gamon. Our grade 11s Nicholas Rogers, Matthew Kamps and Michael Aiken hosted the event superbly.

It is clear that Webb House is not slowing down and thus we look forward to the next 50!
