Team Thandulwazi

Thank you to One and All, for the support given to Team Thandulwazi, riding for the first time under the St Stithians Foundation banner, in the Momentum 947 Cycle Challenge.

Congratulations to the 44 cyclists who rode for a purpose and completed the race; thanks to their families, friends and supporters who provided encouragement and refreshments along the route, and to the many donors and sponsors who helped Team Thandulwazi to raise funds for the Thandulwazi Maths & Science Academy.

This event proved to be not only a great fundraiser, but also a wonderful community-builder.  Each Team Thandulwazi cyclist was required to raise a minimum of R1250 to qualify for the Charity Bond. Our cyclists exceeded all expectations and once all the pledges have been received, just over R100k will have been raised through this event.  Thank you to all involved for your generous contribution and support.

Feedback from the cyclists has been overwhelmingly positive and going forward the St Stithians Foundation hopes to make this an annual event and to involve even more members of the Saints Family in 2015.  So watch this space...
