The #STRONGERONE&ALL Banner at our Peter Place entrance

During the past weeks of lockdown, our Saints Community has showed its strength and togetherness while apart in their participation in the many initiatives that have been shared on our Saints communication platforms.

From our 21 Days of Prayer, the launch of which coincided with the National Day of Prayer on the 26th March as we entered the first phase of lockdown, to our #BeStrongerOneAndAll Day where our Saints Family donned their Saints colours and stood together, showing our support of One and All and our love of our College.

The sharing of #SaintsMoments over the past weeks has been nothing short of remarkable with thousands of #SaintsMoments being submitted via our Moments@stithian.com email address, from first day photos to memories from our founder students, an incredible showcase of the many experiences and moments that have been shared.  These can be found on our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram sites and some here on our Campus website news.

Our Freedom Day Run on the 27th of April, connected us to our strategic intent of #InspiringExcellence and #MakingAWorldOfDifference, saw over 1000 walkers and runners from our Saints Community both locally and around the world put on their takkies and take part in our Family Home Challenge, all in aid of our Thandulwazi Maths and Science Academy’s Academic Scholarship Programme where over R60 000 was raised.

What is clear is that St Stithians is Stronger One and All and we thank you for standing together while apart with us in these challenging times.  We are unique across both the country and the globe: there is much to cherish and celebrate as we derive comfort in our privileged belonging to the Saints Community.

In celebration of the strength of our community, a banner has been designed to signify and celebrate that we are indeed, STRONGER ONE & ALL.  This banner welcomed our matric cohort onto Campus on Tuesday 2 June as they made their way back to campus to continue their onsite learning after more than 10 weeks of distance and online learning, and our Grade 7s who returned on Friday 5 June.  From a distance, the banner is quite simple in its message and its design - STRONGER ONE & ALL with our Saints badge visible and and stratgic intent highlighted, but the significance of the banner is far more complex as the message is made up of the names of every student and staff member at St Stithians College.

Each of the letters contains the names of all of our students in each of our Grades across the Campus and the two O's are made up of our staff.  Over and above this tribute, we acknowledge that our Saints Family extends way beyond just our students and staff to our parents, our Alumni, our Thandulwazi students, our suppliers, our neighbours and the many other people that are a part of our community of belonging - we thank you One and All.

We celebrate and acknowledge our incredible Saints Family for your support over the past weeks, and always.  We are indeed #STRONGERONE&ALL
