Staff Fun Day - 5 September 2023
Today our staff across all schools and departments enjoyed a fun staff day together.
With the theme of “Happy fulfilment” being our focus for 2023, we decided to do something different to spoil our staff this term. The College HR team supported by the awesome campus events team organised a wonderful spring fun day for all our staff.
The day started with an inspiring Chapel Service which was followed by the introduction of new staff joining the College this term along with acknowledging staff who are celebrating long service milestones.
Richard Little, our Campus Director of Aquatics then did an inspiring talk to motivate everyone for the final term.
Staff then had the option to enjoy the chill zone set up on Ridgeway Field or participate in a variety of fun activities planned which included learning to play marimbas with the legendary Mike Sibanda, enjoying an art class kindly organised by HOD for Art in Girls’ College, Bronwyn Myles supported by various art colleagues across our schools. Staff could also enjoy a game of wipe out or human foozeball, learn about self-defence techniques and complete their wellness screening assessments as part of the Discovery Wellness experience in partnership with Reality Wellness, the College’s employee assistance provider.
For the brave few, they could also wow their colleagues with the singing ability during the lunchtime karaoke session or just enjoy a rejuvinating neck massage from the roaming massage therapists.
Each staff member was also presented with a book of tickets to use to enjoy a cappuccino and croissant supplied by Saints Brew or enjoy an ice cream, chip 'n dip or donuts to snack on before enjoying their packed lunch supplied by our amazing kitchen staff.
A big thank you to all the vendors and suppliers who were part of this day along with all the support staff helping behind the scenes to ensure everyone got to enjoy a fun day connecting with their colleagues before we welcome our students back to campus tomorrow.
