St Stithians win Coca-Cola T20 Schools Challenge Championship

After beating Paarl Gymnasium by 13 runs in the last round-robin match of the tournament, we met them again in the final. We posted 152/3 after 20 overs and restricted Paarl to 144/8 to take the title by 8 runs.

Wiaan Mulder and Wandile Makwetu shared a 138 run partnership setting up a thrilling victory at Senwes Park Stadium in Potchefstroom on Sunday.

We won the R110 000 cash prize for the win.

St Stithians College also met the required score on the Cricket South Africa Quality Performance Index to reach Blue Chip status and have been awarded a further R55 000 in prize money.
