Spring Staff Development 2025
With the invaluable support of the Events team and the fantastic coordination by SA Team Build and our amazing HR team had the pleasure of welcoming Spring Day with a truly unforgettable event.
The day's theme, "Green Footprints, Campus Roots," set the perfect stage. Our staff embraced the challenge with incredible enthusiasm, diving into an outdoor experience that celebrated environmental sustainability and deepened our appreciation for our beautiful Sandton campus.
The energy was palpable from the very beginning. Rector Celeste Gilardi’s inspiring chapel service set a tone of appreciation, love, and connection. This spirit was carried into the main activity, where our staff—our amazing team—were tasked with building a vibrant, interconnected "Eco-City." Using only upcycled and repurposed materials, they brought to life seven creative projects:
- Green Buildings
- Energy Hubs
- Water Conservation Zones
- Waste Management Stations
- Biodiversity Gardens & Learning Spaces
- Art & Awareness Panels
- Community Figures
Watching our teams come up with unique names and war cries, and then seeing their innovation, collaboration, and sheer joy in building these structures was an absolute pleasure. The sounds of music, laughter, and focused teamwork filled the air, creating a beautiful atmosphere of fun and happiness.
The creativity didn't stop there. Staff also had the chance to paint white stones, adding their artistic touch to our campus, and others embraced some friendly competition on the soccer fields. The best way to describe the day was "watching adults behave like kids in a candy store!" Their enthusiasm and high levels of engagement were a joy to witness.
The day concluded with a scrumptious lunch, allowing everyone to relax, catch up, and soak up the sun. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day—a celebration of our amazing staff and a testament to their creativity, passion, and collaborative spirit.
