Little Gardeners, Big Discoveries

Last week, the Grade Rs enjoyed a delightful Spring Walk around part of the campus, making their way up to the Lower Dam fields. Along the way, they stopped to observe the changes that had taken place since last term and were excited to spot some of the preparations underway for the Thandulwazi Spring Fundraiser. They were also kindly invited to learn more about some of the plants growing in the area. The children delighted in smelling and even tasting a few of the herbs, making the experience both fun and interactive.

On Monday, they put their green fingers to work by planting apple mint, radishes and dahlias that they had purchased at the fundraiser. They are excited to care for their little garden and watch their plants flourish over the coming weeks. The children can't wait to see how much their plants have grown and what surprises their garden might bring!
